I was just wondering if preparations work with spears in your experience. I have heard that they do and that they don't... so a bit confused. Suppose I will do some testing once I get my gaming comp up and running again. glass arrows would be sweet though with a spear along with a continuous IAS... very nice if that would work.

a good condition for spears is [apply poison] and that goes with [disrupting throw]

yes I read the description, but as most folks know there are a few skills in the game that do a little more or a little less than their descriptions say. That is why I asked for your EXPERIENCE and not for a description from A-net.

You know you guys shouldn't be so mean, it is common knowledge that a lot of skills that say "arrows" also affect non-arrow things in general, for example, Deflect Arrows, actually affects all projectile attacks.

But the skill description says blocks all projectiles. Most skills say what they affect. Barbed Arrows doesn't work on a spear now does it?..

It says block all projectiles in the concise description.

In the normal description, it just says arrows. Not everyone uses the concise descriptions dude. It's easy for them to assume it would affect spears too if they are just using the normal descriptions.

Now seriously I did ask for your experience and you come in here with a few snide comments acting like you "know it all". That does not help anyone, it does not give me any info I did not already have and it gives folks a bad impression of your intelligence and etiquette.

and anyhow I don't mind folks pointing out the obvious like N1 did and even giving a bit of info that was helpful on the apply poison...just saying

As people over at QQ forums would say, shitter drama.

Some work for spears, some don't. If you don't trust the wording of the skills, try it yourself.

Though bowstring should get a spanking for being the big bully in town, his advice is pretty good:
